What is Litecoin (SEPA)
SEPA is how euros move between euro-area bank accounts, and it is the leg that carries a Litecoin sale into your bank. Banxa buys your LTC at a quoted rate and sends euros on as a standard credit transfer, which arrives like any other incoming payment.
The euros land in a euro account held in your own name, matching the name on your verified Banxa account. Payouts aimed at a business account or at an account in someone else's name get rejected by the receiving bank, and that check accounts for most failed cash-outs and takes a moment to rule out.
Litecoin has one quirk that stops sales more often than any other, and it is the MimbleWimble extension block. Coins moved into an MWEB address are held in a privacy layer that many providers do not accept deposits from, and an MWEB address is recognisable by its longer form beginning ltcmweb. If your balance sits there, move it back to a standard Litecoin address before you sell, because sending from MWEB to a provider that does not support it is how funds get stuck.
Address format is worth a glance for the same reason. Litecoin has legacy addresses, addresses beginning with M, and bech32 addresses beginning ltc1, and all of them are ordinary Litecoin addresses. Only the MWEB variant behaves differently.
Two clocks then run. Litecoin produces a block every two and a half minutes, four times faster than Bitcoin, and Banxa waits for enough of them before treating the deposit as settled, which puts the crypto leg at minutes rather than an hour. SEPA settlement follows at one to three business days, weekends and public holidays excluded.
Cost is carried inside the rate you are quoted rather than itemised separately. The euro figure shown before you confirm is the amount that reaches your account, so comparing it against the market price is how you read the spread. Litecoin network fees are low and paid from the coins you send.
Per-transaction ceilings and cumulative limits over rolling periods both apply, and crossing one usually triggers further checks rather than a refusal. The thresholds that apply to you appear at quote time and follow your verification level and your country.
A first sale brings an identity check even on an account with a buying history, and larger amounts add questions about where the coins came from. A quick answer is usually the difference between a payout arriving in one day and five.
On the euro side the failures are the familiar ones: wrong IBAN, closed account, name mismatch, each returning the money over several days as euros rather than as LTC.
Once your Litecoin reaches Banxa's address the transaction is settled on the network and there is no way to reverse it. Only the banking leg remains correctable.
The exposure here is the gap between a quick chain and a slow bank. Your euro figure is fixed at quote time, so a later price move changes nothing, but the money is in transit for days.

Frequently Asked Questions
Usually not directly. MimbleWimble extension block addresses, recognisable by the ltcmweb prefix, sit in a privacy layer that many providers do not accept deposits from. Move the balance back to a standard Litecoin address first. Sending from MWEB to a provider that does not support it is how coins get stuck.
Legacy addresses, addresses beginning with M, and bech32 addresses beginning ltc1 are all ordinary Litecoin addresses and behave the same way for a sale. The exception is the MWEB format. Check the prefix before sending if you are unsure which kind your wallet has given you.
A block every two and a half minutes, so roughly four times quicker than Bitcoin, and confirmations are typically done in minutes. That is not what governs your wait. SEPA settlement takes one to three business days afterwards and is the part you actually notice.
