Convert Polygon to Nigerian naira at an indicative rate, and see the spread before you buy or sell through Banxa.
Nigerian Polygon volume is small against the dollar stablecoins carrying most local activity, though low network fees have made it useful for moving value between venues. Naira pricing is assembled rather than quoted, and it diverges from the international dollar rate, with much trading peer to peer. Banxa does not currently serve customers in Nigeria, so the rate here is for reference only.

How converting Polygon actually works
Polygon's token carries a complication most assets do not: it changed identity. What was MATIC became POL during the Polygon 2.0 migration, with balances carrying across one for one, and price history from before the migration refers to the same asset under its former ticker. Charts and quotes that still say MATIC are describing this market, not a different one.
The asset's value tracks a network built to make Ethereum cheaper to use, which ties it loosely to how much activity is choosing to settle there rather than on mainnet. That link is real but indirect, and plenty of price movement reflects wider market sentiment rather than network usage. Blocks arrive every couple of seconds and fees run to a fraction of a cent, which is the whole proposition.
Supply is capped, with issuance directed toward staking rewards and an ecosystem treasury under the newer model. A substantial portion is staked, which reduces the amount immediately available to trade, and unstaking is subject to a waiting period rather than being instant.
The figure shown here is indicative. It averages across venues in a market that trades without interruption, so it lags slightly and two accurate sources can disagree at any given second.
What you would actually receive differs by the spread, the gap between the buy and sell side that is how venues earn their margin. It is narrow where the market is deep and wide where it is not, and a large order works down the book to settle at a worse average than the quoted rate implied.
