USDC holds a specific regulatory fact in the EU that is worth stating plainly. Circle secured e-money token authorisation in France under MiCA, making USDC one of the stablecoins with a clear EMT basis for EU distribution. That is a statement about the issuer and the regulatory category, not a reassurance about the asset class or about other stablecoins.

For a Polish holder the practical use cases are narrow and real. Holding PLN-adjacent dollar exposure without a Polish bank FX leg. Settling on-chain invoices to counterparties abroad. Parking funds between trades without touching fiat rails each time. Monthly Circle attestations cover the reserve picture, and USDC runs across multiple chains, which affects transfer fees and settlement speed more than anything else.

Tax treatment in Poland still applies. FX gains on USDC held against PLN count as cryptoasset gains under PIT-38 at a flat 19%, as a separate income category. Losses can carry forward. The headline stability of the asset does not remove the tax layer: the moment you dispose of USDC at a different PLN rate from where you acquired it, there is a reportable result.
