{"id":6027,"date":"2025-02-06T05:50:21","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T05:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/banxa.com\/politica-antiriciclaggio\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T20:05:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T20:05:17","slug":"politica-antiriciclaggio","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/banxa.com\/it\/politica-antiriciclaggio\/","title":{"rendered":"Politica antiriciclaggio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Anti-Money Laundering &amp; Counter-Terrorism Financing Policy (\u201cAML\/CTF Policy\u201d) sets out the processes and controls to help us prevent, identify, manage and mitigate risks of us being involved in any kind of illegal activity, in particular money laundering.<\/p>\n\n<p>Money laundering is the process of hiding or disguising the source of illegally obtained (dirty) funds to make them appear legitimate (clean), for example, by filtering the money through the financial system. As such, companies that offer financial services, like ours, are specifically targeted by criminals.<\/p>\n\n<p>In response to the scale and effect of money laundering, local and international laws, including European Union directives, have been designed to combat money laundering and terrorism financing.<\/p>\n\n<p>Our AML\/CTF Policy covers the following :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Customer Identification &amp; Verification Procedures\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 we have adequate controls and procedures to ensure we know with whom we are conducting business, commonly referred to as\u00a0<strong>Know Your Customer (KYC)<\/strong>, including\u00a0<strong>Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)<\/strong>\u00a0measures for customers deemed as higher risk, for example\u00a0<strong>Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Card Verification<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 for customers using payment cards, we have card verification procedures for example, Payment Instrument Verification (PIV) or 3D Secure authentication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transaction Monitoring &amp; Ongoing Monitoring<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 we analyse data and transactional patterns as a risk-assessment and suspicion detection tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0we have appointed a MLRO with sufficient level of seniority, who has responsibility for oversight of conformit\u00e0 with the relevant legislations, regulations, rules and industry guidance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Risk Assessment and Management<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 we have adopted a risk-based approach to combating money laundering and terrorist financing. We achieve this by accurately measuring our risk profile, balancing it with the need to optimise financial growth opportunities, and implementing processes and controls that commensurate with identified risks. This allows us to allocate resources in the most efficient ways.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Record Keeping<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 we maintain and keep appropriate records for legally prescribed periods;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Suspicious Reporting<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 we report suspicious activity to the relevant law enforcement authorities in all jurisdictions we operate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sanctions Policy<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 we screen against the United Nations, European Union, UK Treasury and US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions lists in all jurisdictions we operate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Employee Due Diligence and Risk Awareness Training<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 we screen all employees and conduct additional background checks on entrusted employees.
